National Science Council

The National Scientific Council is staffed with highly qualified local experts of various profiles invited from all institutions in direct contact with the protection of cultural heritage in Georgia;

  • The National Scientific Council consists of cultural heritage protection experts of various profiles;
  • The National Scientific Council discusses the issues of conservation and restoration related to the rehabilitation of the Gelati monastery complex;
  • All important issues and conservation projects related to the rehabilitation of the Gelati monastery complex are discussed by the National Scientific Council together with the International Council;
