The mosaic painting executed in the conch of the sanctuary of the Gelati Monastery main church represents one of the most outstanding examples of the world heritage. The mosaic requires immediate conservation work as it is significantly damaged. To this end, a group of highly qualified experts is developing long-term conservation plans.
