The temporary Committee of Rehabilitation of Gelati Monastery Complex has been approved based on the recommendations provided in the report of the joint consultation mission of UNESCO World Heritage Center and its advisor bodies – ICOMOS and ICCROM (28.11 – 02.12; 2022) addressed to LEPL National Agency of Cultural Heritage Preservation of Georgia; minutes of the joint meeting of 24 February 2023 of the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Youth of Georgia and the Georgian Patriarchate on the issue of rehabilitation of Gelati Monastery Complex; the contract signed on 6 April 2023 signed by the order N24 , 22 March 2023 of the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia and the National Agency of Cultural Heritage Preservation of Georgia on the formation of the Temporary Committee of Gelati rehabilitation.
