Within the scope of updating the management plan of the Gelati Monastery World Heritage Property, the second working visit of Mrs. Luisa de Marco, the project's international consultant, took place on April 14-18, 2024. 

During the visit, the international consultant and the Georgian team discussed the work in progress: the completed tasks and ongoing issues.

On the final day of the visit, the wrap-up meeting was held with the Advisory Board of the Gelati Rehabilitation Temporary Committee. At the meeting, the proposals for the management structure of the Gelati Monastery were presented and discussed in compliance with urgent, short-term objectives and long-term strategic goals.

Based on the recommendations received, the draft of the updated management plan will be presented to the stakeholders in June of this year.
