The works of arranging the foundation of the entire temporary roof of the Cathedral named after the Nativity of the Virgin Mary of Gelati have started. According to the request of the structural project developed by the German company Leier and the German constructor, special independent shear slabs were made for the unified temporary roofing.

The above mentioned slabs will ensure the monument-independent arrangement of a single temporary roofing structure.

In connection with the approach of the start of the unified temporary roofing works, special containers needed for the German workforce were also placed in the territory of Gelati.

The works will start in the near future.
