Natalia TsinTsabadzeHead of ICOMO Georgia

President, Georgian National Committee of the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) Nato Tsintsabadze is a Conservation Architect with a Master's degree in Conservation from Tbilisi State Academy of Arts (1987) and the Department of Archaeology at the University of York, UK (1999). She also attended the Integrated Urban Conservation Course (ITUC-03) at ICCROM in 2003. From 1999 to 2018, she served as the Secretary General of ICOMOS Georgia and worked as a Lecturer at the Tbilisi Academy of Arts from 2004 to 2021. Since 2006, she has been actively involved in ICOMOS Technical Evaluation of World Heritage Nominations and Management.

In 2018 to 2021, Nato Tsintsabadze served as a Member of the Europa Nostra Council, and from 1999 to 2005, she was a Member of the ICOMOS International Scientific Council on Historic Towns and Villages. She is the Founder and a Board Member of the National Trust of Georgia since its establishment in 2016. Some of the most significant programs she has organized and managed include:

- Heritage Resource Centre: Launched in 2020, this center serves as a hub for heritage industries located within a traditional Tbilisi house, showcasing best practices in restoration. The center facilitates capacity-building workshops, public lectures, cross-sectoral studies, etc;

- Sustainable Rehabilitation of Heritage Site: This project, supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway (2018 - 2021), resulted in the development of the Manual for Tbilisi Historic House Restoration, following a showcase restoration project;

- Regional Cooperation for Cultural Heritage Development: This program, part of the EU Eastern Partnership Culture Programme (2012-2014), aimed to develop national policies for the heritage sector, enhance stakeholder capacity, foster professional networking, and engage civil society in Armenia, Georgia, and Ukraine;

- Community-Based Revitalization of Betlemi Quarter, Tbilisi Historic District: An ongoing project that focuses on the regeneration of urban sites through integrated conservation, involving the community extensively and conducting capacity-building activities to meet international conservation standards. Funded by WMF, UNESCO, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway.

Nato Tsintsabadze is an author and co-author of 16 articles and publications, including international periodicals.
